The Mural Design Process:
- Following our initial contact by phone or email, I will arrange to meet with you to view the room or area you intend to have the mural painted in. We will discuss your ideas including theme, style and colours and if necessary we can go through some pictures and books to ensure I have a good understanding of what you would like. If the room is intended for a child, it’s always a good idea to get his/her input into themes, colours or characters so that he/she feels included in the exciting process.
- Thereafter I will work on a few of those ideas and design a small scale plan of the mural with a quote which I will present to you for approval. Once you are happy with the design, we arrange a suitable time for the mural to be painted and the fun part begins!
- I sketch the entire mural design on the surface. This ensures that you are completely happy with the design before the paint goes on.
- Depending on the size and detail of the mural, it may take one to a few days to complete. The paints that I use are non-toxic, waterproof, artist’s acrylic paints, so they are safe for babies and children as well as looking beautiful.
